What our 4 middle school backpacks offer
Our style with a removable trolley, the rolling backpack with a lunch bag, measures 46 x 30 x 23 cm (18.1 x 11.8 x 9.1 in), and the trolley has a telescoping handle and 2 or 6 wheels. It comes with a small lunch bag, has a galaxy print and is made of high-density polyester described as waterproof, and it weighs 0.65 kg (1.4 lb) without the trolley. Another style, our 17 inch laptop backpack of 40 x 30 x 20 cm (15.7 x 11.8 x 7.9 in) and 30 liters, opens 180° and has a zippered pocket that keeps shoes or damp clothes separate, plus an anti-theft zippered pocket on the back.
The other two are faux leather backpacks with a vintage look. Our men’s vintage faux leather backpack holds about 20 liters and fits a laptop, A4 documents and a tablet, and our vintage faux leather laptop backpack holds 20 to 35 liters with a padded laptop section. Three of the four have padded, adjustable straps, and three are described as waterproof or water-resistant.
How do you choose a backpack for middle school?
In middle school, the bag carries large binders, textbooks and sometimes a laptop. Start with what your student carries every day and how they get to school, then check on the product page that the dimensions fit a binder for A4 paper (8.3 x 11.7 in).
- A heavy bag and a flat commute: a rolling backpack can be pulled along the sidewalk and worn on the back for the stairs.
- A laptop or a tablet: look for a padded compartment and the screen size stated on the product page.
- A more grown-up style: many middle schoolers prefer a simple city bag to a backpack with a busy print.
- Comfort: wide, adjustable straps and a bag worn on both shoulders spread the load better.
